I have an urgent request. What should I do?
If you are having a medical emergency, please dial 911. For urgent requests, including medical issues after-hours and on weekends, please call the office at 703-425-6010. If the office is closed, the answering service will take a message and relay it to the on-call provider.
How do I prepare for fasting bloodwork?
Please eat no food for 8 hours prior to your appointment (6 hours for an appointment in in the afternoon). Water is fine, as are any medications you may be on. You may also have coffee or tea just so long as you don't put anything in it.
How can I get a copy of my medical records?
Internal Medicine and Allergy Associates retains medical records of prior patients for 7 years following their last visit as required by law.
Pick up the record request form from the front desk. Once completed and signed, the form must be returned to our office either by fax or mail. There is a copying charge which varies depending on the size of the record. Records may be picked up at our office 5 business days after receipt of payment, or mailed to you or another provider for an additional charge, which will again vary depending on the size. We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard by telephone, fax, or mail.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call the office at 703-425-6010 for all appointment matters (including scheduling and canceling).
If it is after hours, our answering service will take a message. Important health messages are relayed immediately to the health care provider who is on call.
